About me

Hi, I am Teacher Pamela, with seven years of experience teaching children aged 4 to 8 in both private and international schools, covering national and Cambridge syllabus. I have taught in physical classrooms and adapted to online teaching during the Covid pandemic, creating engaging lessons. My passion lies in nurturing young minds, and I find great joy in seeing my students grow and progress. I focus on creating a safe and fun learning environment using effective classroom management, blended learning, and differentiated instruction. My qualifications include a Bachelor of Honours in Social Science from University Science Malaysia, a Certificate in TESOL/TEFL, and additional training in teaching, leadership, and classroom management. I am dedicated to working closely with parents to support each child's learning and development.

As a dedicated educator with over seven years of experience, I have had the privilege of working with young children aged 4 to 8 years in both private and international school settings.

From 2020 to 2023, I served as a Primary Homeroom Teacher in an International School, specializing in Key Stage 1. In this role, I prepared comprehensive lesson plans and conducted engaging lessons across subjects including Phonics, English, Mathematics, Science, Global Perspectives, and PSHLE. I was committed to creating a safe and enjoyable learning environment through effective classroom management and the development of visual aids and teaching resources. My responsibilities also included observing, assessing, and recording each child's progress, as well as planning and leading after-school activities. I actively contributed to school-wide events such as Book Week and Sports Day, and I embraced technology to enhance blended learning experiences. I tailored differentiated activities to meet the diverse needs of my students and regularly communicated with parents and guardians to discuss their children's progress and development.

Prior to this, from 2016 to 2020, I worked as a Teacher in a Private Kindergarten, focusing on Early Years education for children aged 3 to 5 years. In this capacity, I planned dynamic and enjoyable lessons that promoted play, exploration, and basic skills development, covering areas such as motor skills, personal hygiene, number and letter recognition, language, science, art, and storytelling. I maintained a positive classroom environment by establishing and enforcing rules for behavior, collaborating with fellow educators to organize enriching programs, and meeting with parents to discuss each child's growth and needs.

Throughout my teaching journey, including my experience in the corporate and government sectors from 2001 to 2010, I have always been passionate about working with children. I find immense joy in witnessing their growth and success, as their curiosity and eagerness to learn inspire me daily. My greatest achievement lies in the progress of my students, and I am committed to providing them with the best possible learning experience.
