About me

I am Teacher Amirul, an experienced educator with a strong background in teaching Mathematics, Science, and ICT. Over the past seven years, I have taught at various educational institutions, ranging from homeschooling environments to international schools. My journey began as a Science Lecturer at a technical college, where I have been teaching since 2017. I have also had the opportunity to work as a Mathematics teacher at different institutions, guiding students from Grades 8 to 11. Additionally, I served as a Python trainer, combining my expertise in programming with education. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering and a Master's in Science Manufacturing, which have equipped me with a solid foundation to deliver engaging and practical lessons. My passion lies in helping students excel in STEM subjects, and I am dedicated to fostering a positive and interactive learning environment.

Since October 2017, I have been working as a Science Lecturer, where I am responsible for teaching Science courses, developing comprehensive lesson plans, and mentoring students in a technical education setting. This role has allowed me to cultivate a strong foundation in delivering complex concepts in an engaging and accessible manner.

In addition to my lecturing experience, I have worked in diverse teaching environments. From January to May 2022, I taught Mathematics to students in Grades 8 through 11 in a homeschooling setup. During this time, I focused on creating tailored lesson plans and providing individualized support to help students master mathematical concepts. Before this, I served as a Python Trainer from January to June 2021, where I conducted training sessions on Python programming and Mathematics. This role allowed me to merge my technical skills with teaching, catering to students interested in coding and software development.

In early 2020, I become a Mathematics and Additional Mathematics teacher, teaching Grades 8 to 11. I focused on key concepts and exam preparation, helping students develop a solid understanding of the subjects. My experience includes a year-long position in 2019, where I taught Mathematics, Science, and ICT to middle and high school students. Here, I utilized various teaching methods to cater to different learning styles, ensuring that each student could grasp the material effectively.

Before venturing into education, I worked as an Engineer for six months, which gave me practical experience in applying technical knowledge. Additionally, I spent three years as a Math Clinic Tutor, offering personalized tutoring sessions to improve students' understanding and confidence in Mathematics. These varied roles have equipped me to teach effectively across different subjects and settings, and I continue to bring this diverse skill set to my current position as an educator.

I hold a Master’s degree in Science Manufacturing, which I completed from a university in Seri Kembangan in 2015. This postgraduate program allowed me to deepen my understanding of advanced manufacturing processes, equipping me with the skills to analyze and improve production systems. Before that, I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering from an institution in Bestari Jaya, where I studied from 2009 to 2012. My undergraduate studies gave me a strong foundation in engineering principles, combining mechanical, electronic, and computer systems. This combination of educational experiences has been instrumental in shaping my approach to both technical problem-solving and effective teaching.

My hobbies reflect my passion for both technology and sports. I enjoy exploring the world of automotive engineering, particularly working on and learning about the mechanics of vehicles. Additionally, I have a keen interest in remote control airplanes and helicopters, where I can combine my love for engineering with hands-on, practical experiences. When I’m not engaging in these hobbies, I enjoy staying active by playing badminton and ping pong, which help me stay fit and provide a great way to unwind.
