Hello! I’m delighted to introduce myself, my name is Teacher Chimii, and I bring nearly three years of teaching experience in both K-12 education and ESL (English as a Second Language). I have had the privilege of working with students from diverse backgrounds, including Filipino, Turkish, Japanese, and Chinese learners. My goal is to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive. I can help to strengthen foundational grammar, vocabulary building, reading comprehension, and conversational skills, all tailored to meet the unique needs of my students. I believe that learning is a collaborative journey, and I look forward to support your child’s educational growth!

An experienced educator with years of expertise in K-12 education and ESL instruction. My career journey has equipped me with a diverse skill set that includes roles as an ESL teacher, substitute teacher, and school board member.

As an ESL Teacher at 51talk and English Central in Dipolog City (September 2021 – November 2022), I provided individualized English tutoring to international students from Turkey, Japan, and China, tailoring lessons to meet their specific learning needs and facilitating engaging discussions to deepen their understanding of English grammar and vocabulary.

In my role as a School Board Member (December 2022 – December 2023), I counseled students on school rules and policies, helping them understand their responsibilities while promoting eco-friendly practices within the district.

Most recently, as a Substitute Teacher (K-12) at the Department of Education in La Libertad (December 2023 – February 2024), I worked with a diverse student body, including those with special needs. I created adaptive lesson plans and implemented behavior management strategies to foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

I am passionate about meeting the diverse needs of my students, whether through personalized tutoring or adapting lessons for special education, and I am committed to creating engaging and effective learning experiences for all.

I earned my Bachelor of Secondary Education, Major in English from Saint Vincent's College Incorporated in 2019.
During my time as a student at Saint Vincent's College Incorporated, I was proactive in my professional development and attended various seminars. These seminars complemented my formal education and provided valuable insights into emerging educational trends and practices. Attending these events allowed me to broaden my perspective on teaching methodologies and stay current with innovations in the field of education.

In my free time, I enjoy watching psychological thrillers and documentaries, which excite my curiosity. Reading, particularly about Greek mythology, helps calm my mind and inspires my creativity. I also love singing and dancing for fun, and I take pleasure in meeting new people and learning about different cultures, which enriches my perspective on life.
