About Me

I am currently working as a tuition teacher in Sabah, where I guide students in their studies and help them improve academically. Previously, I gained six months of experience as a practical teacher, where I taught Bahasa Melayu to Form 1 and Form 3 students. This experience allowed me to strengthen my teaching strategies, classroom management, and ability to cater to different learning levels among teenagers. In addition, I have one year and eight months of experience as a kindergarten teacher, where I was responsible for teaching and nurturing young children, focusing on both their academic learning and personal development. This combination of experiences with different age groups has given me the flexibility, patience, and creativity to design lessons that suit the needs of learners from early childhood to secondary school.

I have around two and a half years of teaching experience with children and secondary school students. During my degree, I completed a six-month internship at Siew Ching Kindergarten in Lahad Datu, Sabah, where I taught Mandarin subject to six-year-old children. After that, I continued teaching as a kindergarten teacher in Subang Jaya, Selangor, for one year and eight months, focusing on both the academic and personal development of young learners. Later, I also gained six months of experience as a practical teacher, where I taught Bahasa Melayu to Form 1 and Form 3 students.

I have taught different age groups in different settings. During my internship, I taught six-year-old children Mandarin at Siew Ching Kindergarten in Lahad Datu, Sabah. After that, I continued teaching kindergarten students in Subang Jaya, Selangor, for one year and eight months. Later, I gained experience teaching Form 1 and Form 3 students Bahasa Melayu during my six-month practicum.

I personally like to teach because teaching is truly my passion. I feel very happy and fulfilled when my students are able to understand what I am teaching and apply it in their learning. Seeing their progress, no matter how small, motivates me to do even better as a teacher. Teaching is also meaningful to me because it has always been one of my parents’ wishes for me to become a teacher, and I feel proud to be able to fulfill that dream while doing something I genuinely enjoy.

I hold a Bachelor of East Asian Studies (Hons) with specialization in China Studies from University Malaya (CGPA: 3.56), where I also studied Mandarin as part of my program. In addition, I completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching (PGDT) at Open University Malaysia. I also achieved a CGPA of 3.67 in STPM at SMK Elopura Sandakan, Sabah.
