Class Description

Public Speaking is a platform that provides you with your space to share your thoughts and opinions about things that matter. Taking up a Public Speaking course will help you learn to channel your thoughts in an organized, concise manner. The more you practice with guidance, the more confidence you will gain even in your daily life. I understand what it feels like as a student, to be put at the center of attention. Some people enjoy it, some people feel uncomfortable. Either way, I can help you find your center ground and guide you to figure out your personal strengths and weaknesses. Together, we can work on capitalizing on your strengths and overcoming your limitations.

Students will engage in a fun and energetic environment to develop their language and soft skills through various activities each week.

There will be 1 class per week.

To be able to deliver prepared and impromptu speeches. For kids, this can train their personality and confidence to speak in front of the public.

I'm an English Language teacher by profession. I teach, coach, and train individuals and groups of all levels and backgrounds, helping them achieve their communication goals.

I am naturally a shy person, and by nature, I am an introvert. Growing up, I had to go through a lot of practice to speak up and make myself be heard. In my teenage years, I joined the school's debate team. I had to put in a lot of effort because I was not good at sports, so this was the only way to score merit points for college applications later on. Eventually, I realized how much I enjoyed speaking in public and I enjoyed the stage. It felt like a safe space, where no one interrupted, and I could share my opinions on subjects that mattered to me. I also learned to manage my interpersonal skills. Eventually, I grew up to become an advocate for several causes, such as bridging the urban-rural gaps in education, advocating human rights, as well as addressing gender gap issues. I believe that everyone should learn to find their voice despite whatever obstacles they face.

Mostly on drafting speeches and practicing them.

Any necessary notes and handouts will be provided. Students are only required to have a notebook to write some things by hand, and preferably to attend the classes via a laptop/tablet (not a phone).
