About me

Hello, I'm Teacher Gabrielle. I’ve been teaching English since I was 18, working with students aged 7 to 15 in private community learning centres in Sabah and public schools in Kuala Lumpur. I teach Cambridge English, KSSR/KSSM syllabus and junior English. My passion for teaching stems from the joy I get in seeing my students improve, especially when they overcome challenges with English. I love that teaching allows me to learn from my students as much as I teach them, keeping our lessons engaging and meaningful.

Volunteered as an English teacher at community learning centres in Sabah.

I've been teaching English since I was 18 years old. I teach students aged 7 to 15 years old and have teaching experience in a private community learning center in Sabah and public primary and secondary schools in Kuala Lumpur. I filled most of my time with volunteer work to teach secondary students during my free time when I was studying in KL and get paid quick and easy money to tutor my juniors at my university for their upcoming mid-term exams or consult them regarding their individual or group projects.

I like to teach because I love seeing progress in students who struggle with English. Seeing their faces light up whenever they spell, write, or pronounce a word correctly is my intrinsic reward as that tells me that I've made a positive difference, no matter how small, in their life. I also like to teach in the hopes that my students correct my mistakes or find flaws in my knowledge in subject matter as it shows that they are fully engaged in the lessons that I teach.

In my free time, I practice my musical skills on the ukulele, perfecting my cognitive skills on video and multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) games, drawing, painting, and trying my best to sing along to any song featuring Sean Paul.
